Programs

  • Bachelor of Applied Science in Radiation and Imaging Sciences

  • Associate-degree transfer programs (the freshman and sophomore years of college) in 58 focus areas

  • Professional and technical associate degrees and/or certificates in 87 areas of health science, information technology, business and design

  • Career-training certificate programs in Microsoft technology, business, health professions, technical communication, translation & interpretation and art, through our Continuing Education division

  • 34,000 annually (making BCC is the third largest educational institution in Washington state, behind only the University of Washington and Washington State University)

 

Areas of Study

  • 79% of all enrollments are in degree or certificate programs; others are in Continuing Education and Adult Basic Skills.

  • 55% of credit students are pursuing Freshman/Sophomore studies prior to transfer to a four-year program (BCC sends more transfer students to four-year schools--primarily the University of Washington--than any other community college in the state). Others are pursuing professional and technical training.

  • 62% are from BCC's formal service area (which covers the Bellevue, Issaquah, Mercer Island, Skykomish and Snoqualmie Valley school districts). Others are from other areas of King County, primarily south King County and south Seattle.

  • More than 1,300 are international students from around the world.

  • More than 1,200 are Running Start students (high school students taking college classes)
