HEADLINES The Bulldogs were led all weekend by a another balanced scoring attack. Sophomore Sam Cartmell was selected to the All-Tournament Team, and sophomore Rahiti Marere was designated the Tournament’s Most Valuable Player. The Bulldogs go on the road this weekend to take on the Grays Harbor Chokers Saturday, Dec. 6, at 4:00pm in Aberdeen. MEN’S BASKETBALL OPENS SEASON WINNING THE BULLDOG CLASSIC The BCC men’s basketball team kicked off their season with a bang winning the 1st Annual Bulldog Classic. The Bulldogs (3-0) opened the tournament with a solid win over Portland CC 81-61, and then really got things rolling in their semifinal game against Wenatchee Valley winning 99-60. The Championship game on Sunday matched the Bulldogs against last year’s NWAACC Champions, the Yakima Valley Yaks. Once again the Bulldog defense proved to be too much as BCC won the championship game 77-61. The Bulldogs were led all weekend by a balanced scoring attack. The Bulldogs go on the road this weekend to participate in the Pierce College Men’s Basketball Thanksgiving Invitational Tournament, opening against the South Puget Sound Clippers on Friday, November 28th, at 2:00pm. "Great Eight" - Men's Basketball Inks 2008-09 Recruiting Class Bellevue High School Wins BCC Spring League Championship Monagle Signs With Montana Tech Three Bulldogs Net All-Region Honors BCC Takes Seventh at NWAACC Championships BCC basketball has a rich tradition in northwest college hoops. A perennial playoff contender, BCC finished the 2006-07 just short of the NWAACC title, falling 67-56 in the NWAACC Tournament Championship Game to Clackamas Community College. Bellevue compiled the second best record in the storied history of the Men's Basketball program at 28-4, and won their third consecutive Regional Championship. BCC competes in the North Region of the Northwest Athletics Association of Community Colleges along with Edmonds, Everett, Olympic, Peninsula, Seattle, Shoreline, Skagit, and Whatcom Community Colleges. The season begins in mid-October and finishes at the 16-team NWAACC Championships in early March.
