WOMEN’S BASKETBALL HOST FIRST HOME GAME December 1, 2008
The women’s basketball team opens at home Tuesday, Dec. 2 at 5:30pm against the Green River Gators (0-1). This year’s team is young with 11 freshmen and one sophomore on the roster, but the coaches are excited about the team’s progress and how far they can go.
The Bulldogs will also take part in the Everett Tournament this week, Dec. 5-7 at Everett CC.
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL GOES 1-2 IN YAKIMA TOURNAMENT

The women’s basketball team opened their season in Yakima and played well enough to win all three games, but could not make their free throws. In their opening round game against Umpqua they went 14/23 from the line and lost 81-77. In their second game they defeated Clark 63-46 behind a strong defensive effort and in their third game, the Bulldogs were 16/28 from the free throw line, and lost to Mt. Hood 74-71.
The Bulldogs have this week off. They will host Green River on December 2nd at 5:30pm in the BCC Gymnasium.

WOMEN’S BASKETBALL OPENS SEASON ON THE ROAD

The women’s basketball will open up their 2008-09 season on the road at the Yakima Valley Tournament. The Bulldogs will be joined by Columbia Basin, Clark, Lower Columbia, Mt Hood, Seattle, Umpqua and Yakima Valley.
The Bulldogs first tournament game will be Friday at 2:00pm against the Umpqua River Hawks.

Both the men’s and women’s basketball teams hosted a great day of basketball on November 8th for their annual jamborees. The women’s field included eight games and the men’s field included 11 teams from all over the NWAACC.

Bulldog basketball officially started October 20 with both the men’s and women’s team looking to build on the strong finishes they both had last year at the NWAACC Tournament.
