Minimum Requirements
NOTE:
The following are the minimum requirements for applying
for financial aid. Forms are available at the BCC Financial Aid office
in the Student Service Center, located on the first floor of Building
"B".
- Complete the
2006-2007 Online
Financial Aid Orientation and mail the results to the Financial
Aid Office.
- Your 2006-2007 Institutional Student Information
Record (ISIR) or Student Aid Report (SAR) must list BCC. If you did
not list Bellevue Community College, call the Federal Processor at 1-800-433-3243
to add BCC.
To receive your Student Aid Report (SAR) you must first fill out a Free
Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You can do this
by mailing your FAFSA (available in the Financial Aid Office) to the
federal processor, or you can fill out your FAFSA online at
http://www.fafsa.ed.gov
. After you fill out your FAFSA and send it to the federal processor,
you will receive a Student Aid Report (SAR).
- If your SAR indicates that you have been selected
for verification, request and complete a Verification Worksheet and
attach the required documents and submit them to the Financial Aid Office.
- If your SAR indicates that you need to provide
clarification or documentation of certain issues, such as Selective
Service Registration, INS Status, for example, submit the required documents
to our office.
- Review our helpful
Checklist
for important hints.
It is important to prepare! If you are applying late,
be prepared to pay for your first quarter!
