Financial Aid Office
Attendance Verification Instructions for students
taking online classes

Online class attendance can only be verified after the start of online classes, normally the second day of the new quarter. Online students must log into their My WebCT VISTA classroom and send a mail message to their instructor requesting attendance verification. Students must include their full name and Student ID Number in their e-mail and ask their instructor to reply with the verification directly to them using WebCT/Vista email.

Once you receive a reply from your instructor, you can either

(1) take this e-mail to the Cashier's Office and use it as a substitute for the Financial Aid Attendance Verification form used for on campus courses, or

(2) request to have your check mailed to you if you cannot come to campus because of the distance involved.  To expedite your request, do the following:

a) send an email to financialaid@bcc.ctc.edu requesting the check be mailed to you.  Please include the address where you would like the check to be sent.  You cannot request to have your check mailed to you if you haven’t received a reply from your instructor or do not attach a copy of said email to your request.

b) Attach a copy of your instructor’s verification email to your email request.

Please allow an additional 5-7 days of processing time for mailing checks.

Your instructor’s verification of attendance, including his signature and date must not be more than 7 days old prior to picking up your check or requesting your check to be mailed to you.

Students can also download and print the Attendance Verification form from the following link: http://www.bcc.ctc.edu/financialaid/Attendance%20verification-web.pdf

Get their instructors' signatures and present it to the Cashier's Office when they pick up their check.
