BCC Foundation Donors help people, of all walks of life, change their lives for the better. Thanks to our donors, thousands of BCC students, each in their own way, Become Exceptional every year.

There are many ways to give:

Creating Opportunities Luncheon

Join us April 30, 2008, for our ninth annual Creating Opportunities Luncheon, where we will continue our tradition of inviting friends and community leaders to help us raise vital funds in support of BCC’s students and educational programming.

Our keynote speaker this year is Dr. Lee Hartwell.  Dr. Hartwell is the President and Director of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle.  Dr. Hartwell pioneered the use of cellular genetics and its role in cancer.  In 2001 he won the Nobel Prize in Medicine.

Our emcee this year is King 5 News Anchor, Lori Matsukawa.  Lori is a strong supporter of education and a very active member of the community.

Annual Fund

By underwriting our fund-raising activities, annual gifts produce returns well beyond their initial value.

Matching Gifts

Double or possibly triple the value of your gift! Talk with your employer to see if they are one of the 200+ companies in the area that match charitable gifts like yours. Typically , it only requires filling out a simple form obtained from your company’s Personnel Office. Fill out the form, mail it to us, and we’ll take care of the rest. You will be credited for the value of your gift plus your company’s matching contribution!

Major gifts

Major gifts are contributions of substantial size dedicated toward a specific program or project such as the establishment of a named scholarship, buying specific instructional equipment or building new facilities. Such gifts may not recur annually, but due to their size, their impact on the college and its students resonates for years.

Legacy Giving

Legacy Giving, often called “planned giving,” may allow you to make a more meaningful contribution than you ever thought possible. You may be able to leave a deep and lasting legacy for generations of students to come while also qualifying for tax savings and other advantages that may actually increase the value of your estate for your heirs. Legacy Giving takes many forms, including bequests, living trusts and life insurance. To learn more, contact BCC Foundation.
