Continuing Nursing Education
Most Continuing Nursing Education offerings earn nursing continuing education contact hours. Bellevue Community College (#PA-46/Feb/08) is an approved provider of continuing education by the Washington State Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
Offerings are designed to meet the educational needs of Registered Nurses and other health care providers, facilitating learning that updates, expands and enriches health care practice. A variety of current topics is presented each quarter.
BCC offers the only RN Refresher Program in Washington that provides twice yearly sessions with classroom learning opportunities and instructor supported clinical practice. The Fall program starts in early September and ends in January. This program offers daytime classes and both day and evening clinical opportunities. The spring program begins in early February and ends in June. The classes for this program are scheduled for evenings and some Saturdays so that people who work during the day can attend. All clinicals are evening shift. Both programs have the same curriculum. The RN Refresher program is approved by the Washington State Nursing Care Quality Assurance Commission.
