ISP saw another successful summer of special groups at BCC. In August and September, we hosted two groups from Japan; Tezukayama Jr. High School and Bunka Women’s University. 42 junior high school students from Tezukayama spent one week at BCC studying ESL and trying their hands at kickboxing, blackberry picking, card making, and color theory classes. It was an event filled week and we enjoyed the energy that this group brought to our campus. Bunka University brought 18 students to BCC for a three week study program. Along with studying English, students enjoyed an interior design workshop, cultural immersion trips to Seattle and the surrounding areas, painting ceramics, a visit to the Childcare Center, and much more. This group is always a delight to host and we were sad to see them leave. Thanks to everyone who made these students feel welcome! |

MORE RECORD BREAKING NUMBERS! ISP / ELI is off to another great quarter! We are thrilled to see such a large turn out of international students. We currently have 803 international students enrolled at BCC, breaking our record once again! ISP is proud to be a part of a college that supports and encourages our students—and we want to thank all of you who work diligently to make BCC a great place to study! |

BEIJING UNIVERSITY OF AGRICULTURE In August, delegates from Beijing University of Agriculture were on campus to meet with President Floten and discuss the possibility of a relationship between BCC and BUA. The delegates enjoyed an morning brunch with the president and key members, and then were given a campus tour. It was a joy to have them visit. |
