Scholarship Information

I. Top 50 Academic Scholarship - $400/student

All BCC non-immigrant visa holders in the College Credit programs, (does not include students in the International Business Professions programs, Bridge, and University Preparation programs), may be eligible for a $400/quarter scholarship if they:

  1. are in status;
  2. do not owe any money/fines to the college;
  3. have earned a minimum of 3.00 overall cumulative GPA;
  4. have enrolled in full-time classes (at least 12 credits per quarter) and fully paid tuition unless student is graduating (i.e., officially allowed to take a reduced load);
Note:
Only graded classes are used in the determination of scholarship recipients. This scholarship is non-transferable and can only be used towards tuition.

***********For SUMMER QUARTER 2008 Scholarship**********
The cut-off GPA is 3.65 for those students who have earned 24 or more credits.

II. University Preparation/Intensive English Program
Outstanding Students Scholarship
Top Six -- $400/student

All BCC non-immigrant visa holders in the UP/IEP program may be eligible for a $400/quarter scholarship if they:

  1. are in status;
  2. do not owe any money/fines to the college in excess of $25;
  3. have evidence of academic excellence through faculty evaluation;
  4. have enrolled full time (18 hours);
Note:
Scholarship recipients will be determined by UP/IEP faculty and the Director of the English Language Institute. This scholarship is non-transferable and can only be used towards tuition.

III. International Student Leadership Award

All non-immigrant visa holders who are in-status students at BCC may be eligible for a $500 scholarship per quarter based upon their outstanding leadership service in a BCC sponsored activity or activity in collaboration with BCC. This award is given every quarter. Please pick up an application form at the International Student Programs office in B233.

Summer 07 Leadership Scholarship Winner - Yoonmi Park
CONGRATULATIONS, YOONMI PARK!!!!
Yoonmi won the ISP Leadership Scholarship for her outstanding volunteer and leadership work at BCC Fall Quarter 2007. Yoonmi is an ASG Justice Officer, a member of Phi Theta Kappa, and an officer for both the International Business Leadership Club and the Rotaract Club. Yoonmi also tutors at the Math Lab.
