SALARY: Range 35: 75% of $2,324 - $3,003 per month

JOB SUMMARY: The childcare fiscal tech performs repetitive support and detailed fiscal work in an office setting under general supervision. Use guidelines and exercise independent judgment in performance of assigned tasks such as processing receipts; account set-up & adjustment; tuition billing & monitoring; maintaining records; balancing daily registers and preparing bank deposits. Perform detailed fiscal work where independent judgment is exercised to make fiscal determinations and to solve problems that arise within work assignments.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma, (or GED certificate), AND 15 quarter hours or 10 semester hours of college-level accounting or bookkeeping AND 2 years of full-time experience as a Fiscal Technician, or equivalent, including experience using accounting-related software. An Associate of Arts Degree, or equivalent, in accounting or business may substitute for one year of required experience
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
CORE COMPETENCIES: Computerized Fiscal Data: Use college-specific software to input and edit output of computerized fiscal data, revising as necessary. Generate queries and reports. Import data from other sources, sort records by multiple fields, find records, run simple queries, and filter by selection. Level 1 Spreadsheet: Use spreadsheet software, such as Microsoft Excel, to create, modify, print, and format spreadsheets, find and replace data, and work with formulas and functions. Fiscal Recordkeeping: Maintain and modify fiscal record-keeping systems, databases, and spreadsheets; review fiscal records, identify trends, assist in developing problem resolution. Multi-Task: Prioritize and perform multiple tasks in the same timeframe, handle interruptions appropriately, and return to incomplete tasks. Oral and Written Communication: Effectively express ideas and information using language that is appropriate to the knowledge and understanding of the audience. Effectively convey ideas and information in writing using language that is appropriate to both the complexity of the topic and the knowledge and understanding of the reader. Provide Customer Service: Listen attentively, identify issues, provide options, fulfill services, and/or exercise knowledge of laws and regulations to assist others and/or resolve complaints or conflicts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Union shop provisions cover this position as the result of a majority vote by employees in the bargaining unit.
