POSITION SUMMARY:

The position of Application Developer is a senior-level software development position responsible for designing, constructing and supporting complex applications as requested and approved by the college. The primary responsibility and role of this position is to work as a member of a team to design and write middle-tier code that ties together SQL data back-ends and end-user interfaces. Other responsibilities include leading projects from inception through deployment and support while working closely with students, faculty and staff, developers, business analysts, quality assurance, and other IT staff and stakeholders, while helping to maintain an environment where diversity and pluralism are valued.  Projects include a mix of maintaining existing applications (e.g. bug fixes and/or feature requests) and creating new solutions.  It is often necessary to balance multiple projects in various stages of development as priorities and resources change.  The successful applicant will be expected to make decisions regarding the architecture, design and implementation of solutions as well as communicate technology guidance and knowledge to management, clients and other team members.
