  • 1. Can I print from the computers in the library?

Yes, you can print from the computers in the library, but it costs 10 cents a page. The computers print to the large printer that is located near the workstations. Go to the printer and enter the number of the computer you were using. Enter the appropriate amount of money into the coin box, select your print jobs and click on "Print." The computers in the Media Center area also print to the large printer and also cost 10 cents a page to print. (Note: The computers in the Media area do not have Internet access.) Students can print for free in the Open Computer Lab (N-250).

    2. Do I need a library card to check out library materials?

No, a student ID card may be used as a library card but is not required. All currently enrolled students are eligible to borrow circulating materials with their student ID number. We may ask to see picture identification when you check out materials.

    3. How long can I check out library materials?

Different types of materials have different loan periods. Please look at the circulation chart to determine how long you can check out materials.

    4. How do I renew my library materials?

Library Materials may be renewed at the circulation desk, over the phone, or through the online LMC catalog. One renewal is allowed for circulating materials with the exception of reserve materials. Reserve materials can not be renewed.

    5. How do I return library materials when the library is closed?

There is a book drop outside the library where you can return library materials at any time. The book drop is located outside of the D Building, just north of the LMC entrance.

    6. I can't access EBSCOhost or ProQuest from home. What am I doing wrong?

Currently enrolled students may access the EBSCOhost and ProQuest databases from off-campus by following these steps:

    • Go to the Library Media Center home page at http://bellevuecollege.edu/lmc/ and click on the "Periodicals/Databases" link.
    • Click on the icon for the database you want to use, then enter your student ID number and your last name.
    • If you are unable to connect to either database, make sure that the browser you are using is set to accept all cookies.
    • If you are still unable to connect, your name may be entered incorrectly in the BCC computer system. Are you able to register online or check your grades online? If you are not able to do these things, email the Library Media Center Circulation Desk to help resolve the problem.
    • If you are able to register online and check your grades online but are unable to connect to EBSCOhost or ProQuest, please call the Circulation Desk at (425) 564-2252 or the Reference Desk at (425) 564-6161 for assistance.

    7. Where can I get a BCC student e-mail account?

The student network account that you use to access computers in the computer lab or to log in to MyBCC has a student email address attached to it. Create your student network account by going to the Open Computer Lab in N250 or visit Online self registration for information on student network and e-mail accounts.

    8. Can I type my paper in the library?

No, the computers in the library do not have word-processing software. The computers in the Open Computer Lab (N250) have word-processing software installed on them.

    9. Is the Writing Lab in the library?

No, the Writing Lab is in D204.

    10. Do you have tax forms in the library?

No. Tax forms and instructions are available online at www.irs.gov.
