Got fuel fright?
BCC students who register for fall by July 11 may win one of five $100 gasoline cards
BELLEVUE, WASH. – Five $100 gas cards are up for grabs by students who register by July 11 for fall quarter at Bellevue Community College.
All students who register by the deadline – and who meet the standard Aug. 13 tuition payment date -- are automatically entered in the drawing for the five prizes. There are no special contest forms to
fill out.
Winners will be selected randomly on Oct. 13. Names of the winners will be posted on the BCC Outreach website at www.bellevuecollege.edu/outreach.
To register for fall classes, students should go to www.bellevuecollege.edu and click on ‘Enrollment.”
The drawing is sponsored by the Bellevue Community College Foundation.
“The BCC Foundation intends this drawing to be a fun way to encourage students to make their fall plans early, so they can get the best classes to fit their schedules, and to help a few lucky winners
offset the climbing cost of transportation,” said Gaynor Hills, executive director of the Foundation.
BCC also is helping students cope with the rising cost of gasoline by developing more online classes, including courses that are conducted totally over the Internet and ‘hybrid’ courses in which more
than half of the learning is done online, but classes meet on campus one or two days a week for face-to-face discussions and interaction with the instructor and other students.
Directed by a board of 24 community volunteers, the BCC Foundation awards more than $150,000 in merit- and need-based scholarships to BCC students annually and provides additional funds for program
enhancements.
Since its inception in 1978, donors have contributed more than $20 million to the Foundation in support BCC and its students
