Six BCC employees recognized for excellence by BCC Foundation
BELLEVUE --The Bellevue Community College Foundation conferred Margin of Excellence Awards May 14 on six BCC faculty and staff members in recognition of their outstanding work in support of the college and its students.
Nominated by BCC students, faculty and staff, each received a $1,000 award from the Foundation.
Honorees are:
Gabrielle Bennett, of Seattle, Program Manager and ASG Advisor in the college’s Student Programs department
Xinhang Hu, of Bellevue, Circulation Manager for the college’s Library Media Center
Jennifer Laveglia, of Seattle, an instructor in the college’s Math department
Ruth Mazzoni, of Seattle, an instructor in the college’s Accounting Paraprofessional program
Ray Pfortner, of Vashon Island, a Photography instructor in the college’s Continuing Education division
Ed Smith, of Renton, an Information Tech Specialist in the college’s Computing Services department
The Bellevue Community College Foundation, directed by a board of 24 community volunteers, is a non-profit organization that receives and manages gifts from individuals and corporations
on behalf of BCC. Since its inception in 1978, the BCC Foundation has raised more than $20 million on behalf of Bellevue Community College to support scholarships and program enhancements.
